My name is Shelby Fishman and I am a multimedia journalist with experience in producing, video, editing and writing. I received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and a master’s degree in journalism and public affairs from American University in Washington, D.C.

I have gained experience in professional settings, various internships and through student media. I am currently the deputy editor of MarketWatch Commerce at Dow Jones.

For over four years, I have driven engagement across Dow Jones’s partnered content and commerce verticals. By leveraging real-time analytics, I optimize editorial performance and execute multi-channel distribution strategies — including Apple News — to maximize reach. Additionally, I contribute high-value personal finance reporting for MarketWatch Picks.
