My name is Shelby Fishman and I am a multimedia journalist with experience in producing, video, editing and writing. I received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and a master’s degree in journalism and public affairs from American University in Washington, D.C.

For more than five years, I’ve had the privilege of helping to shape the commerce landscape across Dow Jones’s top brands. Today, I serve as the Deputy Editor, Commerce at MarketWatch, while also working as a Staff Writer for WSJ | Buy Side, The Wall Street Journal’s dedicated research and commerce team. Whether I’m writing or editing for MarketWatch Picks or WSJ | Buy Side, my approach is highly strategic: I rely on real-time analytics to optimize our editorial performance and build multi-channel distribution strategies that ensure our content reaches the widest audience possible.
